Another thing is that the University use Live@Edu/Office 365 for email, which also has a Calendar on Exchange. If this were properly utilised any unscheduled room changes could automatically be synced to a device, or easily accessible on a large-uptime cloud solution. Though the administration of such a thing could be a pain it would make sense.

Hi Chris,

My name is Nerys and I work for 123-reg. I would just like to assure you and your readers that this has already been raised to our development team to include this functionality from our control panel. Thank you for sharing the work around.

I love Android because of the available resources for developers and the community that has built up around the platform. That, and the Emulator knocks the socks off the BlackBerry emulator.

I love Android because it is more accessible to the average person. For example, to become a developer it only costs $25.00 U.S., where as iOS is 99.00 US per year. I am more used to Linux and it is a Linux based OS.

[...] The remaining half of this book consists of extremely in-depth technical content for a wide range of Android APIs. While the start of this book was very much focussed on getting started with Android, the second half is clearly meant as a detailed guide to building just about anything you can imagine with the Android APIs. Preferences, networking, Java libraries, web access, services and alerting, and many other development topics and tools are covered in sufficient detail so that you know how they work and how to use them, as well as how to find out more information if it ever comes to that. The book also mentions some other technology such as PhoneGap, for bringing web apps to native clients, but if you’re really into it there are other books for that. [...]
