Twingo: We Live In Modern Times

By

Last night I noticed another Renault Twingo ad that has appeared ok UK television.

I guess it probably just appeals to my “unique” brand of humour, but I think these ads are genius.

Pity about the car, though.

Also, kudos to Renault for getting these up on an official YouTube channel. Finally marketers are getting the idea!!

Formula 1 2010: Great things to come?

By

The 2009 F1 season had a lot to be remembered for.

The rise of Brawn and Jenson Button; the fall of Ferrari, McLaren, and Renault; the successes of Force India, and the staleness of Williams and Toro Rosso. Don’t forget Red Bull, contenders to the end, and Rubens Barichello.

Even before the season finale in Abu Dhabi, 2010 had a lot to live up to. But it looks like it may do that, and more.

New Car!

By

After an epic journey covering over 700 miles in 7 days, visiting 12 garages, and looking at an innumerable number of cars, I’m pleased that I have finally got my hands on my new vehicle.

It was not without incident though.

Freedom Removed

By

If you were following what I was up to yesterday, you will know that my car went in for its MOT in the morning, and I was quite unhappy in the afternoon to find out that it had failed. Not only that, but it had failed quite spectacularly.

3 failures on the front suspension, 6 on weakened chassis due to corrosion, and one on the headlights shining too low… which the garage wanted to charge me £20 to fix and would only take about 30 seconds at the most with a screwdriver and a tape measure.

So its new car hunting for me. Why? Its quite simple really – I don’t want to lose the freedom.

BMW Vision Concept

Earlier today @nicktelford pointed me towards a Wired article about a new BMW concept car, the Vision EfficientDynamics. Nasty name, but just look at the thing! Pictures and a great intro video below.
